The B-52 passive subwoofer ACT-18XSV2 is designed to be powered by an active sub. The active subwoofer ACT-18XV2 has the same physical dimensions as the passive model. Connecting the active subwoofer ACT-18XV2 to this passive sub increases the amplifier’s available power output from 800 to 1200 watts.
